Northern Lakes Builders has been in the works since I was a child growing up in a family of 7 kids back in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. I have always been fascinated by how things were made and how they operated. I started in the trades at 17 as a framing apprentice, which translated into grunt and human forklift, and advanced to framing stairs and stacking roofs by the end of that summer, I was hooked. Over the next 20+ years in So Cal, I would go on to get a degree in Industrial Education, get married, raise 4 kids with my amazing wife and start my building career. My time there would include experience in custom homes, commercial TI’s, public libraries, and higher education projects. My roles varied as well, from carpenter, supervisor, to Project Manager to the inevitable owner/contractor.
My wife and I decided to relocate our family to a part of the country that more suited our desire for open space and natural beauty and settled on the hidden gem of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We have come to love the seasonal changes and wildlife that is North Idaho and truly appreciate the beauty of the mountains, evergreens, lakes and prairies. Arguably this is God’s country!
For the past 13 years in Coeur d'Alene, I have been building or providing CM consulting services on high-end luxury homes and commercial TI projects and I am still hooked. I love what I do and look forward to the challenges and rewards of building the best projects.
